Six volunteers from the UK will spend March 2014 living in Rome and this is the record of their stay. We are taking part in the Evolve project (European VOLunteering Venture), a partnership between UK-based Wise Owls and Italy-based Atdal 40+, both organisations which help older workers return to work or access learning. Funded by the EU Grundtvig Life Long Learning Programme the Evolve project is the exchange of 6 volunteers to work in their partner’s organisations and cities.

Arriving in style
Theresa arrives in style, Aeroporti di Fiumicino, Rome, 3 March 2014.
Special thanks to Mr Edoardo Martini (the smiling guy standing between Margaret and Donald, pushing Teresa's wheelchair). He's an employee of ADR Assistance (web: https://www.adrassistance.it/en/web/adr-assistance/home ), a subsidiary of Aeroporti di Roma (the company running Rome airports) responsible for services dedicated to persons with reduced mobility (PRM). He flawlessly provided his service to Teresa, guiding her, Marianne and Margaret up to the airport railway station, where they easily took the train to Tiburtina Station.
I love the colour-coordinated' arrival in style'
